Background and aims
The focus group on OA-Künste is a network with a mailing list moderated since 2019 by Anika Wilde (Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch) and Friederike Kramer (Universität der Künste Berlin). It is open to all artistic institutions and universities. The target group: libraries as a service institution that can promote and help to establish Open Access structures at various levels.
The aim is to provide a forum for exchange and discussion. Furthermore, the members of the focus group share materials and information amongst each other in order to strengthen Open Access in the arts.

Datenmanagementpläne und der RDMO-Service von NFDI4Culture
Sie sind digital künstlerisch oder gestalterisch tätig und wollen die bei Ihrer Arbeit anfallenden Daten so managen, dass andere damit arbeiten können? Sie sind eine Hochschuleinrichtung, die Daten aus studentischen Arbeiten oder wissenschaftlichen Projekten im Bereich der Künste entgegennimmt?
Der Research Data Management Organiser (RDMO) ist ein flexibles und kostenfreies Werkzeug, das Sie beim Management Ihrer Daten und bei der Planung von digitalen Projekten aller Art unterstützen kann.
Der Workshop bietet eine Einführung in das Thema Datenmanagementpläne (DMPs), führt in den RDMO-Service von NFDI4Culture und die Funktionalitäten des Werkzeugs ein und stellt außerdem konkrete Nutzungsmöglichkeiten vor.
Die Veranstaltung gliedert sich in drei Teile:
- Einführung in DMPs
- Datenmanagement mit dem RDMO - das Tool von innen (mit Übung)
- Anwendung für die praktische Nutzung

Publikation und Dokumentation non-textueller Materialien am Beispiel des Artistic Research Catalogue
Künstlerische Forschung ist ein vielfältiges, interdisziplinäres und oft mit nicht-textlichen Ergebnissen einhergehendes Forschungsgebiet, das in herkömmlichen Repositorien nur schwer zugänglich gemacht werden kann. Der Artistic Research Catalogue der Society for Artistic Research ist eine Open-Access-Datenbank für genau diese Arbeiten und bietet Lösungen für Text, Bild, Audio und Video.
Die Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Bremen fördert den RC aus Open-Access-Mitteln und bietet so der Hochschule für Künste Bremen eine Plattform für künstlerische Forschung und ihre Daten. Jan Charzinski und Kathrin Gollwitzer-Oh stellen in ihrem Vortrag am 19. November 2025 (15:00-16:00 Uhr) den RC vor und zeigen anhand von Beispielen die Veröffentlichung non-textueller Materialien.
Der Vortrag wurde erstmals am 25.06.2025 auf der Bibliocon gehalten.
Im Anschluss ist eine offene Diskussion zu Standards und Qualitätssicherung im Bereich der Künste geplant.

Online: Discussion "AI meets Open Access in the arts"
On 25th April 2024, the OA-Arts focus group invites you to an online discussion on the topic of "AI meets Open Access in the arts" from 14:00-15:30.
What does AI actually mean for the arts? How does it influence works, their publication and their use? What does AI mean for Open Access and what does the European AI Act have to do with it?
Beside exciting insights from our panellists, there will be room for your questions.
